| August 6 | New arrests in
Henan Over 100 hundred house church Christians from the Born-Again movement were arrested before lunch time on August 6th in Loyang City in Henan province while having fellowship together. Interrogations are still undergoing, but no more info is currently available. |

released As Brother Xing was released on July 18, all of the 100 house church leaders has now been released. Thank you for your prayers. |
| June 11 | 100 house church
leaders arrested More than 100 leaders of China Gospel Fellowship (CGF) were arrested on June 11, 2004. The massive arrest took place at Wuhan city, Hubei province while these church leaders were having a retreat together. According to a senior house church leader and an eyewitness of the arrest both of whom want to remain anonymous for security reason, about 50 police believed from PSB of Wuhan City raided the church meeting around 2:00pm and arrested all of the participants including one of the senior CGF leaders Mr. Xing Jinfu. Mr. Xing Jinfu, 39-year-old, was arrested at least three times in the past for his church activities. He was sentenced to three years re-education through labor in 1996 for his accused “illegal preaching.” The whereabouts of the arrested are still unknown. At the same day, according to a reliable source of, the well-known leader of CGF pastor Shen Xianfeng was put under house arrest at a residential area in Wuhan city after the PSB thoroughly searched a house where Mr. Shen was recovering from illness of his crippled legs. China Gospel Fellowship was established in mid-1980s. It is one of the five major Chinese house church groups with estimated at least five million members. |
| March 17 | Deborah released
from jail We have received news of Deborah Xu's release from jail. She has been returned to the house where she was originally arrested, and has been placed under house arrest indefinitely. She has been able to communicate with us only briefly, but she is physically well and the Lord has been to good. One of our sources travelling in China have informed us that Brother Zeng has been released, safe and sound, but not allowed to move around, suggesting house arrest for him as well when awaiting trial. |

Chinese house church leaders still in custody Zeng Guangbo, a Chinese house church leader from Nanyang city, Henan province was re-arrested on March 1, 2004 while trying to pass the Inner-Mongolia border to Russia for a house church ministry there. According to an eyewitness, Zeng was taken away by Nanyang PSB two hours after he was detained at that customs. Zeng, 36, was first arrested on Jan. 25 but managed to escape several days later. He was expelled from his work unit in Beijing as a military policeman in 1988 because of involvement in underground House Church movement. It is reported that Zeng’s passport number had since been put into the national customs computer system which caused his recent arrest. |

Chinese leaders arrested Several arrests of Christians were done during the weekend by the police and among the people arrested was one top leader of one of the Chinese house church families and a another person linked to the BTJ vision. Please pray for them as they experiencing tremendous pressure from the authorities. Pray that they will be strong in their faith and encouraged by the Holy Spirit in these circumstances. Please also pray for the Chinese government and the policemen involved. We want to see God's love affecting everybody involved. |
